EAST PEORIA (HOI) - A new restaurant has opened in the Levee District in East Peoria.
According to a Facebook post made Tuesday morning, the Eggcellent Café held a soft opening from 7 am - 3 pm.
The new restaurant, according to a previous announcement, features organic food for their breakfast and lunch offerings.
The restaurant also offers avocado toast, pancakes and French toast, plus coffee, mimosas and Bloody Marys.
Husband-and-wife team, Tim and Besa Halili, previously owned and operated Red Apple Family Restaurant in their hometown of Sullivan, IL, serving traditional American fare.
