ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – In honor of National Pretzel Day, Ben’s Soft Pretzels is giving away free pretzels on Monday, with the donation of at least $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. One pretzel is for one person.
All donations of Free Pretzel Day will go towards building new Intrepid Spirit centers for military personnel who suffer from traumatic brain injury or psychological health conditions.
With the minimum donation, visitors can receive one Jumbo Soft Pretzel to both celebrate National Pretzel Day and those that have served in the military.
For over 20 years, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund has provided support for the needs of military communities throughout the nation. Today the fund is leading efforts to provide supports to military members who suffer the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury.
As of today, seven Intrepid Spirit centers are open and actively serving military members. Two centers more are set to be built. These centers provide advanced care to help address the complex symptoms of Traumatic Brain Injury. The goal is to help return men and women to their duties in the armed forces, the press release said.
In the past seven years, Ben’s Soft Pretzels has been able to raise over $130,000 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
