The amount of cluster cases remains steady at 25 cases in the county, with 15 of those considered still active. OCPH defines clusters as group of two or people living together that have tested positive. OCPH also said roughly 18 percent of COVID-19 cases in the county can be attributed to community transmission.
Olmsted County is matching Governor Walz's statewide homemade mask drive on Saturday, April 25th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members can deliver masks to their local fire departments. Fire Departments participating include in Byron, Chatfield, Oronoco, Stewartville, Dover and Eyota will collect and deliver the masks to local congregate living facilities for their employees and residents to wear.
This is in addition to the donation locations already in place in the county, such as Rochester Fire Department locations, Mayo Clinic, Olmsted Medical Center and Rochester Public Schools.
Health officials said the Graham Park collaborative collection site had 110 individuals tested on Monday. They also reported that at this time there is no stress to the staff or testing system at Graham Park and that they feel they can do more tests if need be.
Statewide, there have been 3,641 positive lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 160 deaths, 47,697 total lab tests completed, 1,254 people no longer needing to be isolated, 629 people who have required hospitalization, 237 hospitalized as of today and 117 of those patients needing ICU.
