San Bernardino County coronavirus cases rose 66, 4% from Friday, to 1,732 and two more people died from the disease, the county reported in numbers posted Saturday, April 25.

The disease caused by the virus, COVID-19, has claimed 82 lives in the county since March 15, according to the county’s data. That is a fatality rate of 4.7% of those with a confirmed case.

Those with the disease include 589 white people, 93 of multiple races, 91 black people, 73 Asian people, 14 people from Hawaii or other Pacific islands and six people of American Indian or Alaskan Native descent, the county says. One hundred-eighty-two are of another race, and the largest group — 684 — are of an unknown race.

Six of those with the disease are pregnant women.

The number of beds and ventilators remains comfortably over the number needed to treat COVID-19 patients, as of Saturday, officials said.
