WEST FARGO — The novel coronavirus that's causing illness and deaths worldwide has been reported for the first time at a West Fargo long-term care facility.
Eventide at Sheyenne Crossings at 225 13th Ave. W. appeared Thursday, April 23 on the North Dakota Department of Health's list of nursing homes that have the presence of COVID-19. The facility is reported to have one case in a staff member there.

The NDDOH also added Valley Senior Living on Columbia in Grand Forks and St. Aloisius Long Term Care in Harvey, N.D. to its list, with each reporting one case.
An additional COVID-19 case has turned up at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo, for a total of 16 cases, and three additional cases have popped up at Villa Maria, for a total of four, according to the website.
A total of 17 North Dakota nursing homes have been affected so far, with a total of 69 COVID-19 cases.
Also Thursday, Eventide reported additional COVID-19 cases at its Eventide on Eighth Care Center in Moorhead. Three more residents and two more staff have tested positive, bringing the totals to 16 and 4, respectively.
The Minnesota Department of Health also lists long-term care centers affected by COVID-19 on its website, but it does not list the number of cases at each facility.
