COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KWTX) Health officials in Brazos County on Tuesday confirmed the county's first positive case of the novel coronavirus.
Officials said the patient is a woman in her 20s. They said the woman is not associated with Texas A&M University or Blinn College.
It was not immediately clear if the woman traveled abroad or to areas of the state with confirmed cases.
Health officials said they are coordinating an investigation with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
"The immediate health risk to the general public remains low," officials said.
