The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Health District released more details of COVID-19 positive cases six and another additional case making the total 10 in Wichita County as of Wednesday evening.
Patient 6
During the contact tracing for this individual, it was discovered that the person went to Walgreens, 2800 Southwest Parkway, and not CVS as was previously believed. The person was at Walgreens between 2-3 p.m. March 21.
Patient 7
This person is in their 40s and is an employee at a medical clinic, identified by the health district as Park Clinic in Iowa Park, 310 W Alameda St.
Contract tracing is not complete yet so it is still undetermined where the initial exposure to COVID-19 occurred.
The clinic was notified and is reportedly in the process of notifying their staff.
This patient began to experience symptoms on the evening of March 19.
They began to feel better the next day (March 20) but then their symptoms worsened late March 21 through March 22.
The person was tested at a drive-up facility and has been at home in isolation since March 22.
Prior to isolation, the person visited the following locations:
March 19
- Falls Fitness, 2611 Plaza Parkway between 1-2 p.m.
- Texas Roadhouse Curb-Side Pickup, 3111 Lawrence Road later in the evening
March 20
- Parkway Grill, 2719 Southwest Parkway between 8-9 p.m.
March 21
- Walmart, 3130 Lawrence Road between 2-3 p.m.
- United Market Street, 4590 Kell Boulevard between 3-3:30 p.m.
Park Clinic provided a timeline of events for the case connected with the clinic.
“We want to ensure our patients, staff, and communities that their health and safety are always of the utmost importance and our top priority. Because of this, we have chosen to close Park Clinic and Iowa Park Clinic for two weeks for sanitation and to allow our Iowa Park staff a mandated 14-day quarantine. During this time, providers will continue to see patients via tele-health visits and telephones will remain operational,” the clinic stated.
While the clinics are closed in these locations, the Iowa Park Pharmacy will remain open because there was no direct patient contact at that location.
Park Clinic timeline of events:
- March 10 – Patient A visited Park Clinic for a non-COVID-19 related visit
- March 22 – Park Clinic was notified of an employee’s illness
- March 23 – Park Clinic found out Patient A’s spouse tested positive for COVID-10 on March 20
- March 23 – Park Clinic transitioned to tele-health visits at noon and prepared for a three-day sanitation closure.
- March 24 – A Park Clinic employee was diagnosed with COVID-19
- March 25 – Park Clinic and Iowa Park Clinic close for sanitation and 13-day staff quarantine
Patient 8
This individual is in their 40s and lives within Wichita County’s jurisdiction, but lives outside the county.
Contact tracing is not complete, but it is believed that the patient came into contact with a person from Dallas as part of the patient’s job.
Both the patient’s employer and the Regional Office of the Texas Department of State Health Services have been notified.
The patient developed symptoms March 21.
On March 22, the patient was tested at a drive-up facility in Wichita Falls.
The patient has been home in isolation since March 22, and they did not visit any locations other than the testing facility.
Patient 10
The patient is in their 60s, has underlying health conditions, and is a contact of a previous case.
The individual began experiencing symptoms March 19 and visited their medical provider March 20.
The patient has been in isolation at home since March 19, and has not gone anywhere other than the medical visit.

Along with the COVID-19 patients’ information, the Health District provided a statement from Park Clinic in Iowa Park.
Wichita Falls City Council met Wednesday for a special meeting to discuss the COVID-19 situation and possible future action. The health district expressed that when it is clear that there is community spread of the disease, they may recommend a shelter-in-place order.
Mayor Stephen Santellana said they will begin drafting such and order for if, or when, it is needed.
