PREBLE COUNTY — Preble County Public Health (PCPH) confirmed the county’s first positive case today, March 28.
>> Clark County confirms 2 more positive cases, 4 in total
The patient is 69 years old. Their gender was not stated in the county’s release.
PCPH is working with the Ohio Department of Health to track those the patient has been in contact with so that they may be notified and isolated in their homes.
“We know now that COVID-19 is in Preble County. Now more than ever the community should continue to protect themselves,” said Health Commissioner Erik Balster in a written statement. “People need to stay at home as much as possible to limit their exposures. At this point, you should not be out unless it is necessary.”
Prevention is still the best tool for COVID-19 across Ohio, the release from PCPH stated.
