Larimer County’s ongoing count of people who have gotten COVID-19 rose to 22,033 with new numbers reported Saturday.
The count rose by 178 from the last number reported on Thursday.
The latest cases ranged from a 3-year-old Loveland boy to a 72-year-old Loveland man.
The newly listed cases were predominantly in younger people. They include seven children under 13, five of them from Loveland and two from Fort Collins; 25 teenagers; 70 in their 20s; 31 in their 30s; 17 in their 40s; 18 in their 50s; eight in their 60s and two in their 70s.
The majority of the new cases, 126, were in Fort Collins residents, with 27 in Loveland residents, nine in Berthoud and lesser numbers in other communities.
Twenty-six of the new cases were probable and the remainder were confirmed.
The county’s 14-day case rate edged up to 274 cases per 100,000 people, and the county’s risk score remained high.
The number of people who have died from the virus remains 231.
Vaccination numbers were not updated Saturday.
According to the county’s data dashboard, so far 156,648 vaccinations have been administered to county residents, including 61,039, about 17.1% of the population, considered fully vaccinated with both shots of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Another 95,609, or 26.8%, have received the first dose of the Pfizer or Moderna drug and are waiting for their second treatment.
