3 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County and there is 1 new presumptive case, as of Sunday.
An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said that is the lowest daily case numbers since December 22nd, of last year.
The total number of cases is now at 2,713. Of those, 2,580 are people that have received positive test results, and 133 are presumptive. There have been 58 deaths. 10 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 6 locally and 4 are outside the area. 171 people are in isolation. 511 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 682 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is a decrease of 34 people since Saturday.
County government, DPHN and over 50 volunteers had the first ever drive-through vaccination event Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Initially it was estimated that there would be enough vaccine for 700 senior residents. Due to the work in drawing out doses from the vaccine vials, an additional 100 doses were extracted. That means 800 people were vaccinated.
The next drive through testing clinic with DPHN will be Friday in Roseburg.
