Downstate Illinois sees first Coronavirus case - week.com

(MATTOON) WEEK - A patient at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, has tested positive for Coronavirus, according to hospital spokeswoman Patty Peterson.

Our Blueroom Newspartners report The Illinois Department of Public Health notified the hospital late Friday.

Governor JB Pritzker is prepared to address the state at 2:30pm, regarding the spread of the virus and other pertinent information related to the health and safety of all Illinois residents.

There are currently 46 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Illinois. 82 cases are pending.
