It’s known as the Aurora and is a vessel like very few we’ve ever seen. The builder for this prized possession of some unknown billionaire is none other than RossiNavi. But, and this is a pretty big one, they were only the builder for this monster.

Any time you have a yacht concept that receives commission for a build, more than just one designer or builder go into the project. This is the case for the Aurora as well. The naval architecture is covered by Arrabito Naval Architects. The stunning exterior design is conceived by Fulvio De Simoni, and the interior design by Achille Salvagni. Put all four of these groups together and you get the stunning vessel we see here.

First off, this yacht features a 160-foot (49m) aluminum hull. Why aluminum in comparison to steel or carbon fiber? Well, steel is just too heavy for this sport yacht, and carbon fiber is just not strong enough for a hull of this length or even the decks it would have to support. So, aluminum is the best bet here. This also allows for an easier time when building a hull.

The exterior as we see it is set in classic black and white with a few metallic accents here and there. Segments of the deck walls seem to be replaced with guard railings in order to allow for visibility clear through the vessel. These accents are found at the bow and aft of the deck as to not disrupt internal spaces where privacy is a must.

At the rear, a large beach deck leads you up two stairways on each side of the yacht to an exterior lounging area. From here however, we can choose to take another flight of stairs to the jacuzzi above or enter one of the three main saloons. The front of the ship includes a forward-facing sun lounge ready with lounging pads, and even a swimming pool in the plans.

But inside the Aurora, taste, luxury, and attention to detail are the key elements onto which our attention is thrown. Granite and wood flooring is found through most passageways and corridors, while guest rooms and lounges include plush carpeting.

Furnishings include well rounded edges as is customary on sea-faring vessels, and using velvets, and other materials, the overall shine of lacquered woods and marble is balanced neatly. Each room even includes their own private bathrooms, workspace and wooden cabinetry and walls with silk or satin bedding.

One this I did leave out until the very end is the giant beach club that is hidden inside the ship and is to be exposed only when safe to do so. At the rear, where I mentioned the two stairwells near the beach deck, a massive door which acts as part of the hull, gives us access to a private beach club that also acts as an entertainment center.

Powering this behemoth are two MTU 12V 4000 M93L that push out 2,580 kW at 2,100RPM. This is absolutely massive for a yacht this size and can offer the Aurora a thrilling top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots. But if the speed is lowered to 12 knots, this sea dragon can cruise for around 3,800 nautical miles.
