Punjab Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (PAMETI) organised a webinar titled “Soft Skills for Extension” on October 13 in which 52 participants from state agriculture and allied departments and ATMA got registered. During the inaugural session, Dr HS Dhaliwal, Director, PAMETI said soft skills are important for everybody to learn, for both their personal and professional life. Soft skills characterise how a person interacts in his or her relationships with others. Soft skills include adaptability, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, positivity, time management, self-motivation and many more. Vandana, Deputy Director, IT, PAMETI, explained that the purpose of the webinar was to enhance management skills such as change in attitude and communication skills.

Sarabjeet Singh, Head, Department of AJLC, PAU, delivered a lecture on “Attitude determines Altitude”. He discussed that having a positive attitude is a vital soft skill for any employee. — TNS
