ABC's 'Holey Moley' and 'To Tell the Truth' return a bit lower after two weeks off.
Big Brother continued its steady performance on Thursday, easily leading the broadcast primetime ratings. It was a pretty quiet night otherwise, however, with ABC's game shows returning lower after two weeks off for the political conventions.
Big Brother delivered a 1.0 rating in the key ad demographic of adults 18-49 and 4.06 million viewers for CBS, in line with its season averages across all three nights it airs. Two hours of Love Island averaged 0.4 in the demo and 1.55 million viewers, on par with last week.
ABC's Holey Moley ranked second on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49 with a 0.5, half of Big Brother's tally, and drew 2.95 million viewers. To Tell the Truth ended its season at 0.4 in the demo and 2.85 million viewers. Both shows were a little below their same-day averages for the summer.
The only other original show on the English-language networks was an episode of Mysteries Decoded on The CW, which pulled in a decent-sized total audience (811,000 viewers) and a 0.1 in adults 18-49. NBC also got some more sampling for its Canadian import Transplant, with a rerun drawing 2 million viewers and a 0.3 in adults 18-49.
CBS led primetime in adults 18-49 with a 0.6 average. ABC, Fox and NBC finished in a three-way tie at 0.4. The CW brought up the rear at 0.1.
