With the re-opening of the Walt Disney World resort during a pandemic, many changes have had to be made. Character meet and greets have been one of the main offerings to be altered to comply with Disney’s safety standards and social distancing. One of the places Guest’s love to visit is Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom. Here, you can meet all of your favorite princesses while you eat! In a pre-pandemic world, this was a great meal to grab because meeting princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall could take you over an hour. At Cinderella’s Royal Table, you are guaranteed the meet with no wait and food!
However, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine were not able to return to CRT on July 11th as the table service restaurant did not open with the park. Recently however Disney announced that Cinderella’s Royal Table inside of Cinderella’s Castle would re-open on September 24th!
But it would open to no Disney princesses.
Disney Parks Blog stated:
Beginning Sept. 24, Guests can enjoy dining in the enchanted, fairytale setting of Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom Park. Enjoy a delicious regal banquet with unforgettable main courses ranging from roasted chicken breast and tenderloin of beef to chef’s fish of the day. The princesses will be taking a break from their royal duties greeting Guests, but there will be plenty of delicious fare and fun to be enjoyed in this beautiful, one-of-a-kind restaurant.
This news was accompanied by price changes with adults lunch and dinner costing $62 (down from $75), and children – lunch and dinner costing $37 (down from $45).
Cinderella sightings!
Many Guests heard rumors that although Cinderella’s Royal Table opens tomorrow, today was a soft opening, and it was! Guests were able to dine in the Magic Kingdom castle once again and there was a surprise. Cinderella was there socially distancing herself from Guests, but greeting them all the same.
Looking regal as ever, Cindy was waving to her beloved fans and playing peek-a-boo with the crowd. It is important to note that although Cinderella was visible today, Disney has stated that princesses will not be at Cinderella’s Royal Table at the moment. So spotting a princess at the restaurant is not a guarantee but definitely a perk!
Where else can you see the princesses?
Aside from the cavalcades at the Disney parks, Cinderella was also spotted at Princess Fairytale Hall waving to Guests from a distance. We do not know how often this will occur, but keep your eyes open when you walk by and maybe you will get lucky!
