Dare County reported 7 new cases of COVID-19 on Sept. 13, making 13 new cases reported in the past two days.
Of the seven new cases, 5 involved residents of Dare County and 2 involved non-residents. Two of the individuals are under 25 years old, two are between 25-49, two are 65 years old or older and one is between 50-64. There currently 20 active cases involving Dare County residents, with one person hospitalized, 14 isolating in Dare County and five isolating outside of Dare County. All totaled, there have been 495 cases reported here since the beginning of the pandemic.
Statewide, 1,196 new cases were reported on Sept. 13. The number of people hospitalized fell to 831.

- Reported NC cases – 184,936 (up 1,196 from yesterday)
- Reported NC deaths – 3,052
- Currently hospitalized – 831
- Suspected COVID-19 cases hospitalized in past 24 hours – 324 (down 79 from yesterday)
- Confirmed COVID-19 case hospitalized in past 24 hours – 100 (up 2 from yesterday)
- Adults in ICU with COVID-19 – 270 (down 17 from yesterday)
- Patients presumed to be recovered – 156,652
- Reported cases in Dare, Currituck and Hyde Counties – 746 (Dare 495, Currituck 136, Hyde 123)
- Completed tests – 2,616,108
Note: Every morning, the NC Department of Health and Human Services posts updates o number of reported cases of coronavirus. That number reflects positive results from all tests, including the NC State Laboratory of Public Health and all hospital and commercial labs.
