The Chills have announced reissues of 1990’s Soft Bomb and 1992’s Submarine Bells, set for release on November 6 via Fire Records. The reissues feature the first remasters of the albums since their release. It’s also the first time the records will be available on vinyl since their initial releases.
Submarine Bells, the indie pop band’s second album and major label debut, featured the band’s single “Heavenly Pop Hit.” Its follow-up, Soft Bomb, featured contributions from Van Dyke Parks and ex dB’s Peter Holsapple.
The Chills released their last album, Snow Bound, in 2018. The band reunited later that year for its first U.S. tour since 1996.
