BERLIN, Md.- Berlin Commons, a new community green space, is having a soft opening this weekend.
The owners of The Buzz Meadery, are building the Berlin Commons on Jefferson Street, a space that will hold special events and outdoor dining.
While the space is not done yet, they are having their soft opening Friday through Sunday.
There will be vendors, live music, mead, local farm products, and more.
The owner said he is happy to finally help bring people back together, as COVID really changed things for us.
“Really, this is all about community, we have all been locked up for a long time, and the times that I’m happiest is when I’m talking with people and we live here in Berlin,” Brett Hines, the owner, said. “I feel like I haven’t gotten to know my neighbors as much this last year because we’ve all been kinda cooped up.”
We are told right now the space will only be open when they are doing special events on certain weekends.
They will start building more on the space next weekend.
This weekend they will be open 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
