It’s rare for families to agree on everything, but luckily, that’s never been the case with my mom and sister. Sure, we have our own opinions on things, but we’re open to listening to each other and taking advice from one another, not to mention trying something new if one of us is super passionate about it. 

Enter: Skims. It’s the brand my sister was first extremely passionate about, and now my mom and I are hooked, too. It’s that good, and it’s 100 percent worth trying. Think about the Skims fan in your life — I promise you, my sister (and now mom) are ten times more passionate about it. And while the offerings are plenty and I swear by its ultra-flattering basics, it’s the buttery soft underwear that has my mom and sister coming back for more — and more. 

There’s comfy underwear and then there’s Skims underwear, and if you haven’t yet tried the latter, it’s okay because that’s going to change now. Undies are such a personal thing, and while everyone has their own preferences when it comes to them — some like thongs, others like high-waisted ones, and some might prefer going commando (bold!) — I think everyone will agree the Skims Cotton Jersey Boy Shorts are in a league of their own.

The undies are made from a cotton-spandex blend, which gives them a buttery softness with just the right amount of stretch. Some underwear feels so constricting along the waistline, but these don’t, which is already reason enough to try them. But aside from the comfort along the belly, the boy short silhouette is also extremely easy to wear. So many other styles I’ve tried ride up or feel uncomfortable at hour four of wearing them, but not these. I can wear them all day (and I’ll even happily wear them to sleep) — and that’s saying a lot.

The Skims undies have more than 1,000 reviews and average a 4.7-star rating, which is very impressive. Clearly, it’s just me, my mom, and sister who are obsessed — and we’re also not the only ones who keep going back for a refresh. Reviewers deem them “perfect boy shorts” and I know that my entire family can agree on that. 

Another wrote, “I love the Skims cotton collection! I have bought all styles and colors and I just keep buying. I am truly a die-hard fan of this brand of undies and bras!” If you ask my mom, she’d say the same. In fact, she just refreshed her collection for the new season because while they’re $22 apiece, you can snag three for $36, which TBH, is an unreal deal.

The brand is also behind some of the basics that I wear the most. Everything, from the T-shirt to the tank top to that famous, ultra-flattering dress, feels like a glove on and it is unbelievably comfortable. And, because everything I’ve tried has been an A+, I feel very confident that the next pieces I buy from the brand will be just as good. It’s never let me down — and I don’t think these undies (or other Skims basics) will let you down, either. Pinky promise.
