Average case count remains over 2,000, 13 new deaths included in Saturday's COVID-19 case count - fox13now.com

Server maintenance provided an artificially low case count from the Utah Department of Health on Friday. The variations in today’s report are noted below.

New Cases
3,692 new cases were reported in Saturday's case count. 1,100 cases were intended to be included in Friday’s report, for an adjusted total of 2,592 new cases in Saturday's report. Utah has now seen 231,821 positive cases since the pandemic began

Tests Given
14,616 additional tests have been given. 1,565,554 people have been tested in Utah. The rolling seven-day average of positive cases is now 2,706 per day, or approximately 25.8% of those tested

Hospitalizations
Currently, 544 people are hospitalized with COVID-19. 9,351 people have been hospitalized since March.

Deaths
An additional 13 deaths were reported, bring the state fatality total to 1,038. The newly reported deaths include:

• Male, between 65-84, Davis County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
• Male, between 65-84, Utah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Male, between 65-84, Weber County resident, long-term care facility resident
• Female, older than 85, Utah County resident, long-term care facility resident
• Female, between 45-64, Garfield County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Male, older than 85, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Male, between 45-64, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
• Male, between 45-64, Uintah County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Male, between 65-84, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
• Female, between 65-84, Utah County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
• Female, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, not hospitalized at time of death
• Male, older than 85, Uintah County resident, long-term care facility resident
